Whether you’re a seasoned director or have an amazing plan to direct your first show, Hendricks Civic Theatre wants to hear from you! Come Play a Role and help bring words on the page to a show on the stage for the 2025-2026 season.

Now accepting show submissions for the 2025/2026 season!

1. Feasibility in obtaining rights
2. Originality (i.e., HCT has not performed the play in recent seasons)
3. Marketability and Appeal, and
4. Production cost and effort

There will be two phases to the selection process: 1. Review of application submissions, and 2. An in-person (or virtual) interview with the board to deep dive into your vision.

The board will select the 2025-2026 season by February 2025 and announce the shows shortly after.

Director Disclaimer:

Hendricks Civic Theatre (HCT) expects the director of the production to manage the cast, crew, volunteers, and liaisons throughout the entire end-to-end production, from audition to strike. If selected, the director is expected to adhere to the HCT Board of Directors’ policies and procedures, and accept any terms and conditions with partner venues or production vendors.

HCT is a “learning” theatre community. The director should consider volunteer opportunities and incorporate participants to the best of their ability.
